Every Student....Every Day
SCHOOL CLOSURE: The Governor extended the mandated school closure indefinitely.
HOMEWORK: We are working to provide instructional materials for parents to use at home with your children. The materials provided are to keep student’s skills sharp while providing enrichment and review. Students/Parents can go to Padlet student materials link for the material. If you are unable to access the internet and would like to request paper material mailed to you please email email@example.com
MEALS: Breakfast and Lunch for Students: Starting Tuesday, March 17th the OCASD will be providing free lunch and breakfast to students. Any child ages 1-18 may visit one of the following locations: Oil City Senior High School (cafeteria entrance) or Seventh Street Elementary (cafeteria/gymnasium entrance) to pick up a bagged meal. The bagged meal will contain lunch and breakfast for the following day. The window for pick up will be from 11:30 A.M.-12:30 P.M. 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday, and Friday). The child must be present in order to pick up the meals. This will be similar to a “drive-through/take out” service. Families may transport their children and/or age-appropriate students may walk to the locations. The buildings will be closed and the bathroom facilities will not be open to the public. It is our hope that this service will help alleviate any hardships that the school closure may have on our families. On Friday, 3 meals will be provided for the weekend.
In our attempt to keep our staff and families safe during social distancing, we will be making some changes to our Meal Distribution Schedule. Starting Monday, April 6th, we are moving to a three day per week schedule. Our sites will only be open on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. On Mondays, our bagged meals will contain meals for both Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday, our bagged meals will contain items for Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, the bagged meals will contain food for Friday, Saturday and Sunday. During meal pick up, please remain in your vehicle. Our staff will come to you. If you are walking to the site, please keep your distance from other individuals. Our staff will motion you to come to the area for pick up when he/she is ready for you. Our staff wants to continue to provide for our families during this difficult time but we also must ensure that they are safe. Our meal pick up sites are as follows:
