The Oil City Area School District is comprised of three elementary schools: Hasson Heights, serving students in grades K–4; Smedley, serving grades K–1; and Seventh Street, serving grades 2–4. In addition to the elementary schools, the district includes a middle school for grades 5–8 and a high school for grades 9–12, providing a full continuum of education from kindergarten through graduation.
