Mandated and Permissive Reporting in Pennsylvania Online Training (Act 126-Mandated Reporter Training)  This training will be assigned by the district office once approved by the board.

PA Department of Education Required Coaching Education

The PIAA requires all coaches to complete two courses, Principles of Coaching and First Aid, prior to the start of your third year of coaching.

Once completed, you must upload your certificates to the PIAA website.

How to Register as a Coach on the PIAA Website

  1. Go to the PIAA website and click “Login” in the upper right corner.
  2. You will see a login screen, click the dropdown menu and select “Coaches.”
  3. Then click “Register to be a Coach.”
  4. Complete all required information.
  5. Be sure to add Oil City High School when prompted.
  6. Upload your required certificates

 

Volunteer Coaching Clearances

Required Clearances for Board Approved Volunteer Coaches
  • Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) – There is no fee for this clearance for volunteers. (If registering for the first time choose “Create Individual Account”)
