Oil City Area School District

The Oil City Area School District is a midsized, rural public school district located in Venango County, Pennsylvania. It serves the city of Oil City, the borough of Rouseville, and the townships of Oakland, Cornplanter, and a portion of President Township. The district spans approximately 71.4 square miles (185 km²) in central Venango County.

As of 2024, the district enrolled approximately 1,900 students. The district operates three elementary schools Hasson Heights, Seventh Street, and Smedley Street, along with Oil City Middle School and Oil City Area High School.
